Tasha Patterson-Shirley

Tasha Patterson-Shirley

Guest Choreographer

Tasha’s career began in Canada with the Pacific Ballet Theater (1980-1986), the Royal Canadian Ballet (1984-1987), and by earning an elementary teaching certificate from the Royal Academy of Dance (1987). A passion for modern and contemporary dance led her to study with Lynn Simonson, David Bowen, Michele Assaf, Joe Tremaine, Alvin Ailey, Micheal Rooney, and many other great teachers. Traveling the world she learned from the great masters of yoga, Indian dance, Bhutto, martial arts, meditation, and hip hop – significantly enhancing her creative choreography and teaching abilities. Tasha infuses her experience, passion and motivation into her students and the results are felt in the hearts and minds of audiences long after the show is over.
